When Sudio, a Swedish brand specializing in personal soundpieces approached me, I was taken aback by their obvious commitment to producing products that look as good as they sound.
The brand name is an homage to the Phil Collins song, Sussudio, after one of the brand’s founders saw Phil Collins struggling with his headphones in a chance encounter in New York. As a big Phil Collins fan (who doesn’t love Another Day In Paradise, In The Air Tonight or even better, Tarzan’s You’ll be in my heart!), my interest was piqued.
The headphones came with a very cool white storage pouch with rose gold trim matching the control buttons and trim on the headphones.
After just a quick charge of 10 minutes, they were already ready for use and pairing with my iPhone was a cinch.
The Sudio Tre model features a soft gel hook which curls into the concha groove of your outer ear to ensure they stay where they’re meant to, ideal for sports and activities.
I decided to give them the ultimate test during the most grueling of physical activities, that’s right! Household chores!
With vacuum cleaner in hand, I set to work. Despite the noise and rushing around, I was pleasantly able to continue listening to my music while the 15m Bluetooth range meant I had freedom to keep my phone in my bag while enjoying my tunes.
I’m no audiophile, but to my ears, sound quality was great. Bass response was good and there were no clicks, sound dropouts and other connectivity issues while the full charge battery life of nine hours means you don’t have to keep worrying about them dying on you either.
The headphones are also sweat proof, which means they won’t spoil from the perspiration of a heavy workout like some headphones can.
Sudio have clearly got their stuff together, a great harmony of style and function, these little beauties look great and sound pretty fantastic. Did I mention they look great?
