After a year of wedding planning and two wedding receptions, we’re finally able to embark on our long overdue honeymoon.

And the destination?

We’re hoping to go to a sun-drenched retreat of wicked palm-fringed beaches with miles of crystal clear waters. Well, nothing embodies these qualities better than…

… the Maldives!

Woo hoo! And after reading tons of reviews on Trip Advisor, we settled on the idyllic Shangri-La Villingili Resort and Spa for our getaway.

The resort is dotted with luxurious water villas and quiet areas that are perfect for languid sunbathing and photo taking! Haha!

Can’t forget the best accessory of all – my wonderful husband, Bobby!

The resort is truly heaven on earth!

The service, view and villa is simply out of this world. The privacy and seclusion it offers is also much appreciated. :P

I guess for the city dweller that thrives on hustle and bustle, the resort might be an absolute borefest but for those who are seeking tranquility, this is paradise.
