The best time of year is nearly upon us and as the song goes, I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it! Cue The Pointer Sisters! 😛
There is definitely a festive energy in the air, so even with so much to do, with so many tasks to complete before the year ends, I feel truly exhilarated and as I finish more and more of my home Christmas decorations, the feeling is just snowballing into a giant cloud of happiness.
Seeing people rushing around with the common goal of just making our loved ones happy, it’s a really magical feeling.
That’s not to say it’s all a bed of candy floss. We all know what a challenge it can be to find the ideal gift for someone, but come this time of year it’s no longer someone but sometwenty! Eek!

Now given what I write about, it’s no surprise that I often find myself gifting my friends and loved ones with beauty gifts galore but at the same time I want to keep things exciting and unpredictable for my friends, so I started to think outside of the gift box!
And that is exactly how I chanced upon OSIM’s range of electronic beauty products.
Now I’m sure for most, the brand OSIM requires no introduction. Synonymous with high-end home massage products, but beauty products I hear you ask? I definitely wanted to see for myself what these intriguing devices could do.
I picked up the uGem 2 Beauty Massager and the uScalp massage device.
OSIM uScalp
As a frequent migraine sufferer, I’m always looking for drug free therapeutic treatment options. A scalp massage from hubby or good ol’ mummy often helps to take off the edge, but alas, their hands are not always free.
Approaching the uScalp with some trepidation, I was very very pleasantly surprised. The rotating finger-like prongs genuinely feel the same as having someone give you a scalp massage (sorry B I don’t need you anymore).
Holding the device gently against my scalp, I really felt wave upon wave of relaxation and moving the device down to my neck and upper back, I could feel the device easing out the knots acquired from sitting in front of my laptop a hundred hours every day.
Now it goes without saying, the more relaxed, refreshed and rested you are, the better the outcome of any beauty regime, and in this way the uScalp was a real winner for me. The uScalp helped me to unwind and relax, setting me up for the evening ahead. Less stress, less migraines, less frowning and wrinkles, ultimately meaning I had less to do when starting my beauty regime, helping you look good by helping your feel good from within.
Energized and refreshed by my scalp massage, I was eager to discover what the uGem 2 could do!
OSIM uGem 2
The uGem 2 is a small compact massage probe with a smooth 18k rose gold finish featuring a massage plate that pulsates 6000 times per minute. The micro pulses penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate your circulation while the massage plate is small enough to target problem areas like eye bags, fine lines and wrinkles, facial puffiness and even help towards achieving a slimmer v-shaped face.
With all the household chores I’ve been doing of late, cleaning, prepping and decorating for Christmas, the skin on my hands have sure taken a toll. I decided to try out the uGem 2 on the new fine lines on my hands. I applied a moisturizer and set the probe to work.
After just ten minutes I was literally shocked, this gizmo really did what it says on the box. Fine lines were visibly reduced after such a short space of time, I was genuinely shocked and simultaneously happy with my new beauty discoveries! I can’t wait to see what happens with more regular use.
OSIM have quite a few innovative products in their repertoire and I found the prices quite reasonable, making them great gift choices for friends and loved ones, especially when considering that traditional beauty products such as creams, lotions and fragrances run out and expire but these devices can be enjoyed for years to come, requiring only a battery change from time to time.
