Fashion Review: Lilies of e Field (LOEF)

Revisiting the minimalist style.

I’ve discarded the accessories – the chains, the bangles, the head bands and the busy dresses and opted for a neat and simple look in this photo shoot (Well, except the grotesque shoes). Each look is made up of less than 5 items.

Today’s attention is on Lilies of e field (LOEF).

Owner, HL, sent me some of LOEF’s prettiest outfits for my review. 😀 It was certainly elating to see a huge parcel of clothes sitting on my vanity table after a hard day at work.

BUT! Be rest assured that the comments made in this review are 100% genuine as HL has insisted that I express my true thoughts of her clothes and that I should not hesitate to give unsatisfactory remarks should there be any. (Hence, this is not an advertorial.)

She sent me eight pieces, and I’ve decided to review two in each post. So here goes. My first installment of Lilies of e Field Fashion Review.

Military Chiffon Top in Tangerine (Click here to see it on LOEF)

Afterthoughts…

I love the way the top was given a military spin with the shoulder pads and gold buttons which evokes nothing but style.

It exudes this professional image and yet the tangerine color makes it looks chic at the same time. A perfect blend of fun and glam!

The workmanship is pretty decent too. Buttons were sewn on firmly. No loose threads found.

However, the sheerness of the material threw me off a little. To top it off, the sides are pretty huge too so this means the bra may be visible. As such, I strongly advise you to wear a tube top. The fabric is also pretty rough but it does not make it uncomfortable to wear.

All things considered, I’m giving this 4.5 Honeyz crowns. Even though I did not like the sheerness part, I thought the design and good workmanship have transcended this imperfection. What do you think?

Studded O/S Tunic (Click here to see it on LOEF)

Afterthoughts…

JW rocked this dress! 😀

I’ve always loved tunics as they keep my bulgy tummy out of sight. And they are perfect for weekend shopping, seaside frolics and school.

The material of this dress is cotton (like T-shirt material) so it crumples easily. However, it is very comfortable. I feel like I’m wearing an oversized T-shirt. So that offsets the crumpling part. 😛

Wear this as a dress or revamp the look by wearing it as a top. Two looks for the price of one! Yay! (If you have a longer torso, the tunic might be too short to wear as a dress.)

Fashion tape is recommended as it is rather low cut. Material is slightly sheer too. So good to wear a tube top underneath.

I’m really into 80s fashion now, so the studs on the dress works for me. Overall, very tasteful piece so 4 Honeyz crowns!

Once again, I hope you guys have enjoyed this edition of Honeyz Fashion Review.

I’ve been receiving requests from many of you to do make up tutorials and more beauty reviews. I heard you and I’m in the midst of preparing them so look out for it!

But I’m hungry for more feedback! So I created a poll on Honeyz Facebook Page to find out more about your needs!

You may access the poll here.

Before I sign off, I’ll leave you with this picture of the photoshoot location – Stadium Bridge @ Kallang Basin.

Love, Juliana

Disclaimer: I know I’m going to sound like a broken record but I would like to emphasize again that Honeyz fashion reviews are NOT advertorial posts. I do not endorse any of those brands featured. Rather, I’m trying to show you how normal girls (girls with non-supermodel statures) look like in clothing from these famous boutiques. This is to aid you in making informed purchase decisions when it comes to updating your fashion wardrobe. 🙂
