I’m finally back from my ‘Fashion Sabbatical’!
Apologies for the hiatus as I’ve been really busy with work and events lately.
I attended a nice wedding, went to the museum to see the legendary Terracotta Warriors, met up with old friends and attended the ‘Miss Singapore World Pageant’!
Bernice, Miss Thailand and me.
She’s gorgeous, isn’t she?
Anyway, I hope you ladies are having a great day so far and all ready to hit the online malls for your weekly shopping extravaganza.
But before you throw your budget all out of whack with those online purchases, here are my reviews for this edition. 🙂
Kourtney Floral Skirt in Black
Afterthoughts…
I’m a sucker for floral prints so this flowery number definitely caught my attention. It doesn’t help that it’s a tulip skirt.
Tulip skirts are all the rage these days. I spotted many girls donning tulip skirts when I was shopping in town. There’s no question why since tulip skirts are well known to flatter any body shape and hide any unwanted bulges.
The material of this skirt is great and the workmanship is just as good. It comes with an inner garment layer so it’s not sheer even under sunlight.
The down side: Ironing this skirt was quite a drag as the hem tend to ‘extend’ after wash.
I’m not sure if this is due to an expansion of the inner lining fabric. Not an expert on textile.
Overall, I thought this is a pretty good buy as it hides my heavy bottom pretty well and creates the illusion for slimmer legs with its slightly flared hem.
I’m giving it four out of five Honeyz crowns!
Romantic Chiffon Sleeve Dress in Lavender
Afterthoughts…
I thought this is a pretty interesting piece. The chiffon material is so delicate that it looks like you’re wearing a layer of lilac mist.
Very feminine. The three quarter sleeves also adds a touch of beauty and class to this dress.
It comes with a removable petticoat.
The material is of a pretty good quality. However, I thought the workmanship of the dress could be better. It is not exactly shoddy but I would say it was probably done without sufficient attention.
Here’s why. One of the straps of the petticoat was actually sewn on the wrong side of the fabric. Other than this, the workmanship of this dress is pretty decent.
I think this dress deserves three Honeyz crowns. Not surprisingly, the poor quality of the workmanship cost it two Honeyz crowns. But still a worthy buy in my opinion. Great design, cutting and material.

Thank you for your continued support.
Have a terrific weekend!

Disclaimer: I know I’m going to sound like a broken record but I would like to emphasize again that Honeyz fashion reviews are NOT advertorial posts. I do not endorse any of those brands featured. Rather, I’m trying to show you how normal girls (girls with non-supermodel statures) look like in clothing from these famous boutiques. This is to aid you in making informed purchase decisions when it comes to updating your fashion wardrobe. 🙂
