My verdict:
A quick glance at the labels of the drinks and you’ll notice that their claims and ingredients are largely based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
We all know that TCM follows the philosophy of ‘prevention is better than cure‘ so I was really looking forward to start my summer on a healthy note with their wholesome ingredients.
One of TCM’s most popular ingredients is the Chinese Wolfberry which is regarded as one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits around. Hence, my mum and granny would always add them into our soups and drinks for our daily dose of anti-oxidants. I’m a lazy girl so I can’t see myself preparing a pot of wolfberry soup every night.
But guess what’s the chief ingredient of the TruLife Berry EyeHealth? Wolf berries of course! Yay! Now I can have my healthy intake of wolf berries while my lazy routine continues… 😛
The TruLife Collagen Cell Renew and TruLife Herbal System Detox also contains nourishing ingredients such as Marine Collagen and Camellia sinensis.
I guess I finally found my Fountain of Youth in these three bottles of goodness. Haha!
I’ve tried all three and really fancy their lingering sweet aftertaste that is perfect as a dessert after meals.

My verdict:
We all want to look good for summer, so why on earth do we only start working out on the very first day of summer each year? Well, if you’re in the 99.9% of people like lazy old me, then you’ll love these goodies.
Further proof that people are never happy with what they have, on one side of the globe we have people pursuing tanned leathery skin, and on the other side we have people pursuing porcelain white complexions. So it’s no wonder that every new whitening formula is received with much fanfare, especially if it’s from Korea, the home of every aesthetic fantastic development of recent times.
Meet Dr+ NU:ELL Double S Lotion. The triple action formula promises moisturization, skin purification and whitening properties all in one lotion.
Containing Niacinamide (AKA Nicotinamide) a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, preparations of this active ingredient are often used in medicine to treat acne with research being done on its role in the treatment of certain skin cancers, oh and yes, it is known to have skin whitening properties when used topically. Also containing polyglutamic acid, an effective moisturizer sourced from natto beans, and ginko biloba leaf extract to purify the skin, this lotion sure promises the goods – but does it deliver?
The lotion is exceedingly light and rapidly absorbed into the skin. With a zesty invigorating freshness, my skin definitely felt cool and ready for the summer sun. Did the lotion live up to its triple threat promise?? Only time will tell.
An effective non greasy moisturizer, only further use will reveal whether it lives up to its skin whitening claims or not.
Want to hydrate and tone your skin without feeling sticky and clammy as you’re about to head out into the fire of the midday summer sun? Then look no further, this all in one is definitely worth a try.

Nip + Fab Body Slim Fix
This daily toning body moisturiser works to improve the appearance of your body contours for a firmer, slimmer appearance. Ideal for use post-workout or after a hot shower. Contains unislim to help sculpt + refine body contours, cocoa butter to soften + smooth, and caffeine extract to improve skin tone + texture.
How to use: Gently massage into the body with circular motions, focusing on problem areas until absorbed. For best results, apply twice daily.
Retail Size and Price: 200ml, $23.90
Where to buy: http://www.nipandfab.com.sg/
My verdict:
With their trademark Unislim ingredient, the gel can be applied after your workouts or hot shower to further enhance your body contours and moisturize your skin.
Now let’s not get the wrong idea here, nothing is going to beat putting in hard time at the gym and killing those carbs, but if you’re really left no alternative and a beach party is imminent, sure, give this a go.
A lightly scented moisturizer, the gel is more like cream, adding a glistening quality to your skin which helps to give the appearance of a tighter more contoured body.
I remain dubious as to whether a cream could really change ones body shape, but when all bets are off, what have you got to lose? Give it a shot.
If nothing else, you at least get a nice moisturizer on your vanity table. Visit their website at www.nipandfab.com.sg for more info.
SkinAz Lip Tattoo (Sexy Red)
A peel-off lip tint pack which you apply on your lips and peel off in about 20-25 minutes to get the result of naturally coloured lips. It makes dull and dark lips or even pale ones look brighter and healthier. This product contains harmless food colouring and is made with natural ingredients.
How to use: Apply the colour you desire evenly on cleaned lips. When it becomes dry after 20-25 minutes, peel it off slowly from the edges of your lips. Finish your lip with lip gloss.
Retail Price: $24.90 Where to buy: ALL BHG and SaSa Outlets across Singapore My verdict:
When I first read the label, I thought its effects were very similar to the Princess Pinki (shown below) where you temporarily dye your lips a nice luscious red.
The difference here is the application method.
The Princess Pinki is a colourless formula that gradually turns pink after application. The key word here is ‘colourless’ which means I could never gauge how pink the lip gel would go so I tended to apply too much. The consequence? Bright neon pink lips that look inappropriately skanky.
As for the Skinaz lip tattoo, I like that we have a range of colors to choose from and that we can see the intensity of the hue as we apply the product.
Here’s a quick demo:
My lips in the mornings are always pale so it makes a perfect canvas to try the product at this time.
There would be a lot of tugging involved later so I spread some lip balm over my lips before applying the Skinaz lip tattoo.
Ooh… I love the sultry red hue.
20 minutes later…
The lip tattoo is now completely dry.
However, I made the mistake of not applying it evenly on my lower lips so I had trouble peeling it off.
I decided to rectify it by washing the product away with water. Bad move. The result was this unsightly pink streak on my lower lip as seen below.
My lesson? Apply a thicker and more even layer next time.
Nonetheless, I still love how natural it looked on my lips.
After breakfast and two cups of tea, the pink hue evened out to form this nice pale rose color which looks very natural!
This is a winner. I’ll definitely use this on a more regular basis. If you would like to find out more too, you can visit their website at http://www.skinaz.com.sg/
