Bali OOTDs: Fashion Only Makes Vacays Better!

Woo hoo! My runway extends to the culture-rich locales of Bali, Indonesia!

Casual, light and breathable are some of the fashion rules I live by when packing for a tropical vacation.

This time, I’m taking a minimalist approach with subtle allusions to bohemian and preppy style.

Last month, I took a short break from urbanity and retreated to the cozy and luxurious walls of Uma Sapna Villa Seminyak.

The highly acclaimed villa boasts a contemporary interior that is well furnished with a deluxe king-sized bed, en-suite bathtub with separate dual vanities as well as a classy bathroom with rain shower overlooking the garden.

Our accommodation package also included a hearty breakfast each morning amidst the manicured landscapes of the villa.

And now it’s time to pair all that luxury with some swoon-worthy fashion! Hehe.

My sartorial holiday statement began with this boho-inspired bat-winged dress that I got for a steal at USD10. Spotted it at one of the retail shops at a popular balinese restaurant called Made’s Warung Seminyak.

The material and gorgeous cut is fab for its pocket-friendly price tag.

Necklace: A gift from my BFF, Jeslyn! She bought it in Bali too! Dress: From Bali Shoes: Furla

Amping up the fashion cred with a summery jumpsuit, studded sandals and a pair of cobalt teardrop earrings for a day of frolicking at the beach!

Jumpsuit: Amber Avenue Earrings: Lovisa Sandals: Steve Madden

Here’s my cheat sheet to preppy beach style – bold woven chain necklace, designer shades and elegant purse. You could keep the rest of the ensemble affordable and simple.

Holidays go hand in hand with shopping! 😛

Bought this classy pair of Havaianas that is embellished with a sparkling Swarovski crystal on its slim metallic strap. I think it retails in Singapore for more than SGD60 but I got it at only 40 bucks! Booya!

And this sexy monokini from Seafolly!

I realise I become more fashion-indulgent when I’m overseas. And I don’t mind erring on the side of bolder colors and wackier outfit designs.

Well, I guess it’s because I know its’ highly unlikely that I’ll meet someone I know and ALSO the local fashion police will not fine me since I’m a foreigner. Haha!

Do you have the same sentiments too? Are you fashionably bolder when you’re on vacation?
