“Spring is nature’s way of saying, Let’s party!”
― Robin Williams

As the sun sets on yet another CNY, my heart still feels really full from seeing all the glimpses of love and joy, all the family pics and feast photos still being shared by you guys all over social media.

I knew this CNY would be different, being on 24-hour standby in case any patients called RESCU – would I still get to stuff my face with pineapple tarts or lose my life savings playing blackjack?

Lo and behold!

It was honestly one of the most rewarding CNY celebrations I’ve enjoyed in many a year!

While I’m definitely looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store for me, CNY is not over yet!

Now let’s keep scrolling and enjoy some final nuggets of joy from this year’s celebration!

Before anything else…

I managed to infuse my locks with some much needed ‘luck’, courtesy of the magical folks at Shunji Matsuo, just in time to take a couple of cover shots for this blog.

In case you’re wondering, that little rascal back there is my silly ol’ brother. Hehe! He had a hair-mazing transformation too. I’ll show his before and after photos on my Instagram very very soon. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, quote ‘Honeyz’ to receive 10% off any chemical service by Shunji Matsuo (Ngee Ann) senior stylist, William. And possibly also inherit some of his hairstyling wisdom. Haha!

Nailed it!

The beauty routine is never complete without a CNY inspired nail metamorphosis!  This time, we go back to the basics and focus on CNY-approved colours, gold and red. To amp up the auspicious factor, the ultra creative Boss Babe, Amanda of Nail Indulgence De Beau also added some cute big-headed goldfishes to signify 年年有余( or 鱼). How cute are they??

One beauty product at a time

From spring cleaning, decorating to indulging in CNY goodies, we’ve done it all. However, the process is not always enjoyable, especially the spring cleaning part. I wish Marie Kondo was here! Haha!

And surprisingly, when the going gets tough, the ramifications usually trickle down to the skin. The high carb CNY goodies are not helping either.

To expunge these side effects and restore my skin’s radiance, I’ve turned to AHC Beauty for an instant skin perk-me-up. AHC has created a wholesome principle known as the ‘AestheBalance’ which believes that three important elements – effective and safe ingredients, thoughtful product formulation, and optimized usage method must work together to create the best skincare results.

As such, they’ve come up with the PREMIUM HYDRA B5 Toner and Eye Cream to reverse the signs of aging and provide a round-the-clock deep skin hydration.

The thick consistency of the toner plumps my skin instantly every morning while the eye cream soothes my tired eyes every night. Despite my unforgiving schedule, my complexion has been looking radiant and glowing more than ever.

Besides the AHC products, I also have these beauty saviours to thank for helping my skin survive the CNY festivities.

Going From Christmas to CNY!

I hold Christmas and CNY very close to my heart, what can I say, the nostalgia of all those childhood memories get me every time as I try to relive some of those family memories and traditions while creating new ones each year.

I gleefully took down our Christmas decorations only to immediately put up our CNY decorations. Watch it all in action in this video below!

Huat is your lucky colour?

I also found out ‘huat’ my lucky and most auspicious colour for the year is by working with Joop Boutique and modern Feng Shui Consultancy, Yuan Zhong Siu for their special CNY fashion video. I was born in the year of the Ox so my colours are purple, maroon and pink to help me  improve my positive energy and overall wellness for the new year.

Check out this video below to find out what your lucky colours are in this beautiful and glorious year of the Earth Pig too!

RESCU to the Rescue!

It’s our first CNY running our house call medical service so we literally had no idea whether anyone would call but they did and we found ourselves seeing families, uncles with flu, aunts with tummy pains and even one granny who had left hospital to come home in time for CNY because it meant that much to her!

Driving home at 5AM after seeing a little baby with a stubborn fever in the early hours of day two of CNY, instead of feeling exhausted, I felt humbled and exhilarated by the rewarding experience of being able to help people with RESCU.

I never in a million years thought that one day I’d be driving around Singapore in the wee hours of the morning, entering the homes of strangers trying to help people, but now that I have, it’s definitely a new CNY tradition I’d like to continue.

Tiring? Possibly. Worth it? Definitely!

But the icing on the cake for me was of course spending time with family!

My family has been nothing but supportive throughout it all and we even celebrated CNY early so we could continue running RESCU during the festive season! From our family to yours, 祝贺大家心想事成,身体健康,万事顺心,天天开心啊!

It’s Giveaway Time!

You guys have me drowning in love all week with your overwhelming support for RESCU. I was completely taken aback when RESCU’s instagram page gained more than 100 new followers within a day! Aww!!!! Our little house call doctor service can’t go on without your continued support. Thank you thank you thank you for keeping our dream alive!

We decided to give away this bundle of goodness on my Instagram page to celebrate this exciting milestone! Click on the banner below to join!

And finally, from both Bobby and I, we wish you a very Happy Lunar New Year, filled with lots of good luck, fortune and pineapple tarts!

Huat ah!
